Welcome to Johnson Stevens Ireland

Worldwide Liner Shipping Agents

Johnson Stevens Ireland was established in 1979 and quickly emerged as a leading Liner Agency in the Irish market and proudly retains that position today. The company now has owned offices in Dublin and Belfast and employs almost 40 people.

JSI has always been aggressive in the market and with that aim in mind it was opened offices in each of the Feeder Ports of Dublin, Belfast and Cork. The Cork office was opened in 1983 and followed by Belfast in 1990. The company now employs over 40 people between its three locations and is a significant player in the Asia, Trans-Atlantic and European container trades.

At the outset the company concentrated on the Trans Atlantic trade. In 1980 JSI was appointed Agent for WEC Lines on the East Africa trade – later to be supplemented by WEC Lines services to Iberia, the Caribbean and the Canaries. In 1984 the appointment as Agent for Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation to cover the Far East, South East Asia and the Indian Sub-Continent resulted in a significant expansion of its market share. 1985 added representation for Independent Container Line of Antwerp.

The company is proud of its success in representing these and other First Class carriers for many years.

The company’s success is equally based on long-term customer relationships which are supported by a total commitment to the highest standards of customer service.

In addition to JSI represents the Van Uden Group’s Ro/Ro service to the Mediterranean, Unifeeder to and from Scandinavia and Sarjak Container Lines for Over Dimensioned Cargoes worldwide.
